That is Ornette Coleman he was a jazz saxophonist and his work on the music it's huge because with his particular way to play the saxophone he revolutionize the jazz. He is considered the greater exponent of the free jazz. He was born in 1930 and dies a couple years ago in June 11, 2015. His albums: "Something else", "The shape of jazz", "Change of a century" and "Free jazz" influenced many jazz musicians, he influences even John Coltrane.
Coleman played plenty of genres like: free jazz, avant-garde, jazz-fusion, free funk and many others. Also, he played the trumpet and the violin. He was one of the greatest experts in jazz; he is the same position of Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Thelonius Moks and Bill Evans. Today, all the jazz schools take the songs of Coleman as in an example o free jazz because of his improvisation.
It's very sad that in the news two years ago tell nothing about his death and his huge contribution to the music in general.

I didn't know about him, and it's sad but true, there are many musicians that we don't recognize as they deserve :(
