Blog 1: A country I would like to visit

Resultado de imagen para plaza roja moscuI have a lot of curiosity to visit Russia, I only know that Moscow and St. Petersburg are the most turistics cities of the country, so if I go someday to Russia I would go to Moscow or St. Petersburg or even both, I have understanding that with one week you can see both cities with no problem.

I would go to the red square, the gorky park, the hermitage museum in St Petersburg, even the subway is a beautiful place in Moscow. All the culture is awesome, I think make Russia a perfect place to visit; the arquitecture contains to much history, and they are in the middle beetwen occidentalism and orientalism culture, that make more interesting that country.

Evaluation of the blog experience

In the beginning was a little wear, I had to talk about myself and I think that’s a lot not because of the fact of talk in English, it’s a lot because I had to talk of me and I’m not really good on that. But when I started to read the others blogs of my classmates I realized that the others should do the same, after that I felt much comfortable with the writing of the blog.
I also developed more skills with the writing in English, because I can understand a conversation in English or the important of the conversation, but to me is difficult talk and that’s means talk in every sense: talking and writing. Is difficult to me communicate with another person and the blogs help me a lot to lessen this aspect of me. I must be honest that still being difficult writing and talking in English but I feel a sustainable development in the area.
I would have liked to talk more about the differences between the Anglo-Saxon communities, because probably we have to talk in English when we have to relate with an Anglo person, so its important know the differences of our culture and their culture.

A Subject you've enjoyed studying

As a child, I dislike the school but I actually never had too much problems with the evaluations it’s just the dynamic of the school, there is a moment when you say that you don’t want be sitting listening your teacher, maybe because of the subject, maybe because of the teacher or maybe because of the both of them. I really don’t have a memory of myself anxious waiting for a subject, the only memory of something similar it’s not about a subject of the school but it’s about a sport academy that had the school, a basketball academy.

I really enjoyed it, I made many friends playing basketball and I developed a lot of skills and not just sports skills, also social skills, and effort and dedication. I remember that I always was the smaller guy in the gym but that never was a problem to me, everybody had me considered when it came the time to playing basketball. I played in the position as the conductor, I had to start all the playing of the team, and I was like Isaiah Thomas for the Celtics. Okay, that was too much jajajaj…

Anyway, I don’t have many memories of me expecting a subject, just expecting anxious the basketball academy.

STOP!

I want to talk about a particular phenomenon in the public transportation system but that reflects the inefficiency of the whole system, because from these kinds of details –which, unfortunately, sometimes appear to be just insignificant things– we can look in facts the obtuseness of the system, this is not an isolated fact; this happens frequently in the city and maybe you have noticed it more than once when you go to work in the busy morning.

Monday to Friday, from 7.30 am to 10.00 pm –peak time–, there is a deviation in the traffic. So all the traffic of the avenue Jose Pedro Alessandri transits only from south to north. And the traffic that comes from the opposite direction has to deviation in the corner of Los Leones and Av. Sucre which it’s a terrible problem for the users of the Transantiago because the “caterpillar buses” are too big and the Av. Sucre it’s too small, even the normal buses are too big in compare with the size of the avenue, and in this corner all the traffic from north to south must divert, not just the public transporting.

From this it turns out that the buses DO NOT STOP at the whereabouts located on the Av. Sucre, just because in the chaos of the traffic the buses do not have how stop in the whereabouts. Every day we saw in the TV experts saying that all the problem of the Transantiago are because of the evasion of the user but this kind of problem it’s not because of the evasion of the users, ¡it’s because of the inefficient of the system!. ¡And we, the users, are the ones who has to pay the cost of all the inefficient!

Ornette Coleman

That is Ornette Coleman he was a jazz saxophonist and his work on the music it's huge because with his particular way to play the saxophone he revolutionize the jazz. He is considered the greater exponent of the free jazz. He was born in 1930 and dies a couple years ago in June 11, 2015. His albums: "Something else", "The shape of jazz", "Change of a century" and "Free jazz" influenced many jazz musicians, he influences even John Coltrane.

Coleman played plenty of genres like: free jazz, avant-garde, jazz-fusion, free funk and many others. Also, he played the trumpet and the violin. He was one of the greatest experts in jazz; he is the same position of Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Thelonius Moks and Bill Evans. Today, all the jazz schools take  the songs of Coleman as in an example o free jazz because of his improvisation.

It's very sad that in the news two years ago tell nothing about his death and his huge contribution to the music in general.

Favourite Food

I like very much cook, it's really fun but I deeply hate wash the dishes. Usually when I'm alone and I get hungry I cook noodles because it's not difficult to wash after eat and it has a fast preparation, but sometimes when I have a lot of hungry I cook some rice and a bistec. In fact I don't have a favourite meal, if I had to choose I would tell you many things, I just can't choose one food. Anyway, a week ago I was alone in my house and I found a little recipient of ¡pesto! -the pesto it's basically basil with olive oil-, so I started to boil water, I poured the noodles and a few minutes before the noodles get ready I took some fresh cheese and I pounded it in a plate with a fork, then I poured the noodles on the plate I mixed with the pesto and I added a lot of ground pepper. That would have been the perfect food of that afternoon but I hadn't grated cheese.... Well that's my story.
